แอพจากมหาวิทยาลัยไทยสร้างยอดดาวน์โหลดทะลุเป้าบน Nokia Store

กรุงเทพฯ 06 มกราคม 2555 – โนเกียเผยแอพพลิเคชั่นซึ่งพัฒนาโดยนักพัฒนาจากมหาวิทยาลัยไทยมีจำนวนการดาวน์โหลดจากผู้ใช้โนเกียทั่วโลกทะลุเป้าที่วางไว้หลังจากเปิดให้ดาวน์โหลดบน Nokia Store แสดงถึงศักยภาพ ของนักพัฒนารุ่นใหม่ของไทย โดยหนึ่งในแอพพลิเคชั่นดังกล่าวมียอดดาวน์โหลดมากกว่า 100,000 ครั้งในช่วง

ระยะเวลาอันสั้น

แอพพลิเคชั่นเหล่านี้เป็นผลงานจากโครงการ Tap That App ซึ่งโนเกียได้ริเริ่มขึ้น ถือเป็นโครงการนำร่องของวงการเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารไร้สายที่สนับสนุนระบบนิเวศน์นักพัฒนาแอพพลิเคชั่นของไทย เพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพและความมคิดสร้างสรรค์ของนักพัฒนาแอพรุ่นใหม่ในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย  โดยโนเกียได้จัดตั้ง Mobile Innosphere Center ขึ้นในมหาวิทยาลัยที่เข้าร่วมโครงการ เพื่อเป็นศูนย์ฝึกอบรมด้านเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารเคลื่อนที่สำหรับนักศึกษาและบุคลากรของมหาวิทยาลัย  หลังจากการฝึกอบรม แอพพลิเคชั่นที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจะได้รับการเผยแพร่บน Nokia Store เพื่อให้ผู้ใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือโนเกียทั่วโลกได้ดาวน์โหลด

แอพพลิเคชั่นที่มียอดดาวน์โหลดสูงสุดซึ่งสร้างสรรค์โดยนักศึกษาและคณาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้แก่

WatchDoggy แอพที่มียอดดาวน์โหลดมากกว่า 100,000 ครั้ง สร้างสรรค์โดยทีมนักพัฒนาจากมหาวิทยาลัย อัสสัมชัญ เป็นแอพพลิเคชั่นที่มีประโยชน์ต่อผู้ใช้ โดยให้คุณสามารถเห็นภาพสดๆ จากกล้องวงจรปิดบนระบบอินเตอร์เน็ต (IP camera) ซึ่งคุณสามารถเพิ่มกล้องใหม่ แก้ไขกล้องเก่า และลบกล้องเดิมออกไปได้

Tilt Blocks Gravity เป็นเกมต่อบล็อคสีแบบใหม่ไม่เหมือนใคร โดยอาศัยแรงโน้มถ่วงของจักรวาล ด้วยการหมุนโทรศัพท์มือถือของคุณไปมา เพื่อแยกและเรียงบล็อคสี และต่อสู้กับระดับแรงโน้มถ่วงที่มีผลต่อบล็อคที่ตกลงมา

MiniMatch เป็นเกมจับคู่ภาพที่เหมาะกับทุกคนในครอบครัว  มีรูปภาพมากกว่า 6 รูปอยู่ในแต่ละขั้นของเกม ซึ่งคุณต้องค้นหาให้เจอ แล้วจับคู่ภาพเพื่อทะลุไปสู่ขั้นต่อไป

Wheresphone เป็นแอพพลิเคชั่นที่ช่วยให้คุณสามารถค้นหาโทรศัพท์มือถือได้โดยการบันทึกเสียงไว้ใช้ในกรณีที่คุณหาโทรศัพท์ที่คุณวางไว้ในบริเวณที่คุณอยู่ไม่เจอ

Check My Lung แอพพลิเคชั่นสำหรับช่วยวินิจฉัยสุขภาพปอด ใช้ได้ทั้งผู้ป่วยโรคหอบหืด หรือผู้ที่ใส่ใจสุขภาพ แอพนี้ประกอบด้วยระบบตรวจสอบสุขภาพปอด และระบบทดสอบประสิทธิภาพปอด ใช้งานง่าย ใช้ได้ทุกที่ ทุกเวลา

ส่วนแอพอื่นๆ ที่ได้รับความสนใจ ได้แก่ Survival Fish, MPetz, Finger Mad Game และ Go Went Gone

โนเกียวางแผนจะดำเนินโครงการ Tap That App อย่างต่อเนื่องโดยร่วมมือกับมหาวิทยาลัยไทยเพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถของนักพัฒนาเลือดใหม่ของไทยให้แข่งขันได้ในตลาดโลกและสร้างรายได้กลับสู่ประเทศ

Apps developed by Thai universities achieved record download on Nokia Store

Bangkok – Several new mobile applications developed by Thai universities received high numbers of downloads from Nokia users worldwide after published on Nokia Store, showing competence of young Thai developers. One of them has reached over 100,000 downloads in a short span of time.

These applications are results of Nokia’s Tap That App program which is a pioneer project in mobile industry that supports the Thai developer ecosystem by enhancing the competence and creativity of new generation of app developers in universities. Nokia has set up Mobile Innosphere Centers in universities that joined the program to serve as a mobile technology training center for students and academics.  After the training, selected applications were published on Nokia Store for Nokia users worldwide to download.

“As a leader in mobile telecommunications, we integrate cutting edge mobile technology with personalized services and foster a culture of innovation for consumers’ benefits. We are extremely happy with the results of the new Thai apps we have seen so far on the Nokia Store, which shows competence of the young Thai developers, especially the fact that one app has reached over 100,000 downloads. Top downloaded applications, which are created by students and academics from Assumption University , Chiang Mai University and Chulalongkorn universities, include

Watch Doggy, which created by a team from of Assumption University and received over 100,000 downloads, is a useful application that allows you to view live feeds from IP camera. Users can add a new camera, edit existing cameras as well as delete a camera.

Tilt Blocks Gravity is the innovative blocks color-matching puzzle game which the "real gravity" does matter! Rolling your device around to break the blocks, building combos and challenge the power of the most powerful force in the solar system.

MiniMatch is a simple, fun and challenging picture-hunting game for everyone at any ages. There are 6 pictures appeared above in each stage which you have to find and hit all those pictures to clear the stage.

Wheresphone is an application that helps you find your mobile phone by recorded voice in case of your mobile phone is around but you can't find it.

Check My Lung is an application for lung diagnosis which is suitable for both asthmatic patients and health-concerned people. It contains Lung Disease Health Check and Lung Capacities Test. This health-related application is easy to use anytime, anywhere and reliable.

Other top downloaded apps include Survival Fish, MPetz, Finger Mad Game, and Go Went Gone.

Nokia plans to continue the Tap That App program through ongoing collaboration with Thai universities in order to increase competitiveness of young-blood Thai developers to be able to compete in the world market and bring revenues for the Thai economy.
